What is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary" and is a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the web, including newspapers, magazines and blogs. RSS feeds (or news feeds) are a way for sites to syndicate frequently updated content to which users can subscribe.
The National Air Traffic Controllers Association is now offering RSS feeds to provide an easy way to keep members, reporters and other interested parties up-to-date on developments in the field of air traffic control.
How can I use RSS?
Using a program called a News Aggregator, you can subscribe to and display RSS feeds such as these from natca.org. News Aggregators (also called news readers) will download and display RSS feeds for you and will update the feeds regularly to give you the most current information. A number of free and commercial News Aggregators are available for download. Popular news readers include FeedReader and FeedDemon on the PC, NetNewsWire and NewsFire on the Mac, or online aggregators such as NewsGator.
Once you've selected a news reader, you will need to suscribe to one of the news feeds listed below.
