- The facility is authorized to have 39 controllers on board, according to FAA.
- There are 33 certified professional controllers (CPCs, fully trained) on board and 6 trainees.
- 11 of the certified controllers in Austin are eligible to retire now.
- 50 percent of the current controller workforce nationwide will be eligible to retire by 2007.
